ANG WORKING SCHOLAR
We believe that the existing challenges college working students experience, as well as the lack of appropriate programs and policies, need to be addressed. To better help spread awareness and inform on the current state of working students, we aim to create an documentary that explains to the audience on who working students are, what challenges they face in their daily lives,, and possible solutions on how to improve their situations and ensure they thrive academically. Accompanied by this documentary is a three episode podcast all about hearing the stories of working students and learning about the current existing programs for college working students. Lastly we have created the working scholar welfare initiative, which is a collection of concept programs for working students that colleges can select and implement.
Mission Statement
Our vision is to create suggestions for programs for working students that we may be able to pitch to colleges and universities, with our programs each school can choose what would be best for their students. Ranging from budget friendly, less maintenance, and less manpower, there’s a program offered for any kind of school.

Meet the Creators Selina and Atasha!
We are Multimedia Arts Students from De La Salle College of Saint Benilde. We created Ang Working Scholar, because we’ve seen our working student friends face challenges at school alone and realized there is a lack of support systems there are in colleges in the Philippines. We want to schools to be informed about their working students, and be able to help them as much as they can. We believe that working students deserve quality care and education just as much as other students.
