Academic tutoring program

The Academic Tutoring program assists students with keeping up with their studies. The program allows students to schedule tutoring sessions based on their availability. With tutoring, they will be able to catch up with their studies in class and receive assistance with their assignments.

The Academic Tutoring Program is for students who need help with their academics, whether it's understanding the lessons and subjects discussed in their classes, guidance and help with assignments, or simply help studying for a test. The Academic Tutoring Program aims to help students perform well in their academics, even with the extra workload that comes with their work.

The college can recruit professors or students who have high and consistent grades for tutoring. Students can apply for tutoring or get referred to it if they have consistently below-average/failing grades. Students can schedule a tutoring session during their free time, either virtually or face-to-face. Tutors can help these students with their assignments, studying for exams, or understanding a lesson.

While not all working students have challenges with poor academic performance, some students fall behind in their classes and assignments and receive failing grades due to work and not having enough time to keep up with their studies. With the help of tutoring, these students' grades can improve, and they will be able to perform better in class.

There are a lot of students in college who have difficulties keeping their grades and academic performance up. They can utilize the academic tutoring program to help them with their studies, and students who are interested in tutoring can apply to be tutors and could earn rewards/benefits such as money or extra credits for their grades.

Working student organizations

A Working student organization can give working students a community and space where they can find other working students like themselves. Working students can receive help and guidance with their working student life. A working student community can bring endless possibilities and opportunities for working students, and help them be more visible.

A Working student organization is a community of working students gathered together. Its purpose is to provide a space just for working students, where they can meet, socialize, network, and get to know other working students. Working students can help each other with job referrals, advice, schoolwork, or emotional support.

Giving working students a community of other working students can help them feel seen and less isolated. An organization represents the working student community; therefore, if a working student has a concern, the organization can bring it to administrators' attention.

Every college may have different systems for operating organizations, but generally, a working student organization should have an advisor for guidance and to help communicate with the school administrators, officers to maintain and plan events, and, of course, members to form said organization. There should also be a physical location within the campus where the organization/association can meet, but a virtual place, such as Messenger, Discord, or any other major communication and community platforms, does just as well.

Other students can join the organization to be able to get to know working students and working student life better, and students who are also interested in finding work can also join to receive assistance in finding work.

On campus employment

On-campus employment allows working students to work directly on campus. Students can directly go to work before or after their classes. It makes work for students more accessible and convenient, allowing the working student to focus more energy on their studies.

Having the option to work on campus can greatly benefit working students, as it cuts transportation costs and time from school to work, and it allows students to have more flexible hours. Working students are less likely to be fatigued from school and work, and could have more free time for studies or self-care.

The college could allow students to work certain jobs around campus, some examples can be: Teaching Assistant, Library assistant, campus tour guide, IT technician, Campus cafeteria/barista, Resident Assistant, etc., allowing students to work these jobs can also solve any understaffing issues the college may have.

Having the option to work on campus can benefit working students. This eliminates transportation cost and time between school and work, as the working student can walk to work right after their classes. The college will also be able to monitor their working students better and be able to control their working hours to better fit their schedules. It would be easier for them to schedule their classes and work shifts. Students may be interested to take on campus employment as it would be more convenient than seeking employment elsewhere.

Job Fairs

Job fairs give students the opportunity to look for job opportunities and secure employment for after they graduate. Job fairs can be inclusive for working students by having employers hire undergraduate students to work.

Traditional job fairs have employers seeking out students to recruit and hire once they graduate, and students looking for potential companies to work at once they graduate. A working student inclusive job fair includes students who are currently looking for work to earn while they are studying, and companies that hire working undergraduate students.

Colleges can organize a job fair and invite companies that want to hire undergraduate students. The job fair can last from a few days to a week and can be held at a large space within or near campus. These students can talk to various companies to see if they are interested in working for them.

There are many working students who usually work short-term jobs and are constantly looking for more work/employment. A job fair where they can seek out companies that are currently hiring students can help them find the work that they need. Working students can also
